For the second time in too few years, Paragon City is the setting for war. The streets are dangerous with scattered skirmishes cropping up at all hours. The 5th Column is crumbling, and the word on the street is that its being torn down from within.

The all too familiar 5th Column street preachers are gone. Now their old haunts are occupied by a new force with astronomical names. They call themselves The Council. Made up largely of former 5th with many of the same leaders, they have taken to the streets and are spreading a new agenda. At least I think that’s what they are doing.

Like any good foil for heroes, these Council are shrouded in mystery. Much less blatent than the 5th Column, they still seem to seek some of the same goals. Their methods and means have changed little, but can the same be said about their ends?

Pictures have been flooding the Front Page offices, capturing the 5th Column and The Council locked in a death grip battle from which only one of them will emerge.

Seeing as Calvin’s last work was regarding the 5th Column, I have a keen interest in what happens to them. If Calvin is their prisoner and should they fall, what might become of Mr. Meeks?
